DIBRUGARH 

  • Dibrugarh is a city located in the Eastern part of Assam, the main urban center within the tea-growing districts of  Northeast India. Dibrugarh is known as the Tea City of India.
  • The City of Dibrugarh is emerging as a popular destination for business and leisure trips for tourists from India and also abroad.
  • Dibrugarh is also considered as an economic hub of North East region of India.[
  • Dibrugarh and its adjoining areas offer the tourists a unique blend of many tourist attractions ranging from the ecstasies of the tea estates and their heritage towards wildlife and culture. It is believed as an overwhelming city touching the heart of someone with a religious fervor.

Namphake or Tai-Phakial Village 

  • Namphake Village or the Tai-Phakial village is the largest in Assam, boasting of 70 odd families, who trace their ancestry to the great Tai race. The village folks follow the traditional customs and dress code of the great Tai race and also speak a dialect similar to the language in Thailand.
  • A very beautiful Buddhist Monastery is located in this area and is considered as a meditation center because of the natural greenery and the serene atmosphere. 
  • Being one of the famous tourist attractions of Assam, the other attractions of the area are Nong Mungchiringta (Musulinda tank), Ashoka Pillar, Pagoda, and the traditional stilt houses. 

MAYUDIA 

  • Mayudia,56 km from Roing, is a picturesque town in a valley situated by the side of the Dibang River. A unique hill resort situated at an altitude of about 8000 ft amidst lofty hills, exuberant green forests, and breathtaking landscapes which provide a panoramic view of the enveloping mountains.
  • The place holds tranquility of its own and the view of snow-capped mountains adds more serenity to the environment.

Dibang wildlife sanctuary

  • The Dibang wildlife sanctuary is known as one of the eight wildlife sanctuaries and it is located near Anini district in Arunachal Pradesh.
  • Dibang wildlife sanctuary is one of the major biodiversity places and it’s a home for unique species of flora and fauna
  • A must-visit attraction in Arunachal Pradesh blooms with abundant natural beauty resulting in it as a perfect place to visit for wildlife tours and nature safari. Dibang wildlife sanctuary nestles amidst the dramatic mountains, snow-covered peaks, deep gorges, dense forests, and shimmering rivers which ultimately gives an inviting feeling to the visitors.

Dibru-Saikhowa

  • Dibru-Saikhowa is a National Park that comprises semi-evergreen forests, deciduous forests, littoral and swamp forests and patches of wet evergreen forests. 
  • Situated in the flood plain of Brahmaputra, Dibru-saikhowa is a safe haven for many extremely rare and endangered species of Wildlife.

Interesting!!! – Mehao Lake situated 14 kms away from Roing in Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary , is a photographer’s delight. the 4 sq km water body sans fish attracts wild ducks in great numbers. Geologists claim that this lake is Oligotrophic (lakes with low algal production, and consequently, often have very clear waters, with high drinking-water quality) . as there is no fish in the lake !!! Anini experiences snowfall during winter months of Nov to Mar

Before You Go

  • Depending on flight connectivity, the arrival and departure points may be changed to Guwahati.
  • To go to ARUNACHAL PRADESH, Inner Line Permits are required for both Indian and Foreign Nationals.
  • One must acknowledge that these wonderful destinations are thoroughly low-profile as regards to touristic facilities.
  • Until recently, the inhabitants of Anini largely depended on Indian Air Force for their daily supply of food. Hence once does not get variety of food choices here.
  • Stay options are limited and basic.
  • Carry adequate cash in Indian currency as ATMs might not be available in remote areas
  • Carry at least one of your identity proofs
