Tour Brief & Highlights

Here is an itinerary of the beautiful and most scenic spots in North-East India.

  • For those of you who have thought Indian one-horned rhinoceros only existed in Jurassic-era, then a trip to Kaziranga must be in your travel list. Kaziranga National park’s 430 square kilometer area showered with swampy lagoons, elephant-grass meadows, and dense forests are home to more than 2200 Indian one-horned rhinoceros, approximately 2/3rd of their total world population.
  • This park is the breeding ground of elephants, the iconic Greater one-horned rhinoceros, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer. Over time, the tiger population has also increased in Kaziranga, and that’s the reason why Kaziranga was declared as Tiger Reserve in 2006.
  • The amazing wildlife conservation activities have made the park successfully manage to grow the population of Greater one-horned rhinoceros, an endangered species.
  • One of the major cities in Assam, Jorhat, a doorway to both Assam and Nagaland which was carved out of the Sibsagar District in 1983.
  • Assam’s largest towns and its name are derived from two haats or bazaars “Macharhat and Chowkihat” on the banks of River Bhogdoi, a tributary of the Brahmaputra. A renowned city that depicts the historical monuments of Assamese culture.
  • GUWAHATI, known as the largest city of North-East India is quite famous for KAMAKHYA TEMPLE (One of the Shaktipeeth temples) and also popular for the Mighty BRAHMAPUTRA RIVER.
