Chabimura Archaeological

Chabimura is renowned for its rock carvings panels on the steep mountain wall at Gomati branch. There are massive carved images of Shiva, Vishnu, Kartika, Durga Mahisasurmardini and other gods and goddesses. These images date from the 15th-16th Century AD. Chabumura is 30 km from Udaipur, and 12 km from the subdivision of Amarpur.

Dumboor Lake

Dumboor Lake is a charming body of water situated in Amarpur Sub Division, 115 km from Agartala. The lake look is like a tabor-shaped small drum, Lord Shiva’s ‘Dumboor’ from which originates the word ‘Dumboor.’ The lake area is 41 sq.km and within the lake there are 48 islets, surrounding hills and the islets are enchantingly smaragd green and offer a captivating scenic spectacle.

Literally Neermahal means Palace of Ice. The palace is a picturesque royal description of the fairytale situated in the middle of the Rudrasagar Lake designed by Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya in 1930 A.D. as its summer residence was influenced by Mughal architectural style. Based on that a big festival observed by the local body and Govt each year in the month of August. Department named the “Festival of Neermahal Rain.”

Tripura Clouded Leopard National Park is India’s first wildlife park dedicated to Clouded Leopards, located within the Sipahijola Wildlife Sanctuary. The Clouded Leopard Park occupies an area of approximately 5.08 square kilometres, is is home to four primate monkey species including the langur of Phayre.

Pilak is an attraction for its 8th – 9th century archaeological remains. Pilak is located within 114 km of Agartala. The place is a treasure house that includes Buddhist and Hindu sculptures. Buddhist Stupa Baxanagar

Recently, after denuding a natural forest field, ruins of a brick-built building appeared on the edge of the border with Bangladesh in the northwest part of the sonamura sub-division. Initially the local people attributed the remains to an ancient temple of Manasa the snake goddess. The Archeological Survey of India attracted attention and they took over the site. There was discovered an idole of Lord Buddha and it was verified that it was a temple of the Buddha.

Buddha temple at Manu Bankul, South Tripura: Mahamuni is located in the village of Manubankul, north-eastern part of Sabroom Southern Tripura Sub-division. It is renowned for its ancient monastery in the Buddhist period.
