Arrive in Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast India and the largest city in Assam. After checking into your hotel, enjoy a peaceful Brahmaputra River cruise, where you can watch the sunset over the magnificent Brahmaputra River, one of the longest rivers in the world.
On day 2, visit the famous Kamakhya Temple, one of India’s most important pilgrimage sites. Located on Nilachal Hill, the temple offers scenic views of the city and the Brahmaputra River. Afterward, take a short ferry ride to Umananda Island, the smallest river island in the world, known for its tranquil atmosphere and spiritual significance.
On day 3, drive to the world-renowned Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its population of one-horned rhinoceroses. Enjoy an exciting jeep safari through the park, where you’ll spot not only rhinos but also elephants, tigers, and diverse bird species.
On day 4, embark on a trip to Majuli Island, the largest river island in the world, located on the Brahmaputra River. Majuli is famous for its Vaishnavite monasteries, unique tribal cultures, and serene landscapes. Spend the day exploring the cultural heart of Assam, visiting traditional Mishing tribal villages, and enjoying the tranquility of this isolated island.
On your final day, visit one of Assam’s iconic tea gardens, where you can learn about the tea-making process and taste some of Assam’s finest tea. Afterward, return to Guwahati for departure, with time for last-minute shopping in the local markets for tea, handicrafts, and souvenirs.
