Tour Brief & Highlights

An itinerary which explains the beautiful Mizoram state which is known for its mountains nestling in the southern tip of the north-east region of India.

  • Mizoram is a mountainous state and is located in the northeastern part of the country. It is considered as a beautiful place because of its dramatic landscape and pleasant climate.
  • Mizoram is cramped with hills that roll across for hundreds of miles, covered mostly with lush forests and hence it is unfamiliar to most of the Indians.
  • Aizawl, an ideal hill station for those looking for some fresh air and solitude, is also the capital of the state of Mizoram in India and is the largest city within the state, as well as the center of its important government offices.
  • Tamdil Lake, located 85 km from Aizawl near Saitual village is a beautiful natural lake in the midst of the cool, green forest and offers an ideal picnic spot.
  • Falkawn Village, a model village depicting the lifestyle of the Mizo people,  is a unique cultural extravaganza for first-time visitors to Mizoram.
  • Champai in Mizoram 204 km from Aizawl serves as the important commercial market for trade routes between Myanmar and other South East Asia countries. Champai has well-tended vineyards, passion fruit, and the recently introduced ‘Kiwi’ fruit plantations in the surrounding hill slopes. The Ruantlang village which is 5 km away from Champhai has glimpses of the ancestral way of life of the Mizos.
  • Durtlang Hills, providing a panoramic view of the hill station is famous for the breathtaking views whilst on the rocky trek trail.
